ACADEMIC WORKSHOP

LAC and the US under Trump 2.0: Implications for the Americas and how we study the region

One ear into Donald Trump’s second presidency, the United States policies and actions towards Latin America and the Caribbean have caused dramatic social, political and economic effects. Although not completely unprecedented, the current US attitude and various types of attacks on the region and towards latinos in the US is profoundly changing US-LAC relations. And as this is only year one of Trump 2.0, what we see might be the start of something even bigger and more lasting.
